Thank you so much for visiting my website! Several exciting events have transpired from the time of my last update. I received rave reviews for my role as Teutile in Long Beach Opera’s U.S. Premiere of Vivaldi’s Motezuma this past March and April.
“Teutile…brilliantly sung by a young soprano, Courtney Huffman, just entering the professional arena, is treated as a supercilious young starlet…She sings and steals the stage…I hope opera talent scouts were on hand…” (Mark Swed, The LA Times).
“Huffman has a Barbie doll look, but she sings with the kind of speed and intricacy that made Baroque opera as much athletic event as art.” (John Farrell, Daily Breeze)
“Her silvery, flexible soprano sparkled through the coloratura passages…” (Wendy Kikkert, The Beverly Hills Outlook)

Another thrilling event took place on June 18th in New York City, where I presented my Carnegie Hall solo recital debut! It was a celebration of American music, with works by Dominick Argento, Tom Cipullo, Ricky Ian Gordon, Lee Hoiby, Charles Ives, Lori Laitman and Libby Larsen, as well as several standards from the Great American Songbook. Visit “From Courtney” to read about my incredible career milestone and view the press release that my publicist Jona Rapoport posted on the Musical America website.
Furthermore, I invite you to peruse my site and enjoy some of the exciting features, such as video performance clips and photo gallery with pictures taken by esteemed photographer, Emily Allen with Solace Arts. I certainly enjoy hearing from you, so please know your feedback is always welcome!
